Well, I didn't get my baby crocolisk pet today. Guess that's not to be expected on the first day of a new patch, anyways.
I did, however, run Magisters Terrace (the new 5 man instance) not once, but twice today. The first time as kitty dps, the second as bear tankage. Coming in the next few days will be my thoughts on the two different roles inside the instance.
Quests leading into MrT (as it's called on my server, at least) award an epic gem, and grant access to the ability to run MrT on heroic. I picked up a Bright Crimson Spinel as my quest reward. The last boss, Kael'Thas Sunstrider, also drops epic quality items, even on normal mode. My first run through, he dropped Cloak of Blade Turning which my party graciously let me have. I'll use it for tanking, along with my Gilded Thorium Cloak as well as PVP when I do arenas/battlegrounds.
I also did the fishing quest today where you have to go catch a baby crocolisk, I cought him on my second cast, which I've heard is pretty good. A fellow guildie cast over 50 times unsuccessfully. Didn't get my baby crocolisk pet, did however pick up a Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat which is quite lovely. Will be nice to not have to pack lures with me when I go fishing.
All in all, a good day.

Good luck getting your little crocolisk. I've been a slacker, and now I need to finish skilling up to 375 before I can do the fishing quest. :( So sad. I loves me some fishing (not so much in practice, but in theory), and I am really glad to see it given another modicum of purpose.
Rhoe! Get out your fishing pole, you lazy purple bum!
